My colored version of The Rose - LineArt by ( =InkedHeartSA )

Hokay. So. when I first saw that line art, immediately I though of belle from beauty and the Beast discovering the enchanted rose. So, I drew in her dress and gloves. That part was me. But, the hair. I have no idea how she did it, but it was amazing and so fun, yet painful, to color. And, I realize upon further reflection that I colored in some hair where there actually was not hair because I didn't bother to take enough looks at the overall project.

I did use Pixlr to smooth out some kinks in her skin because I didn't have the proper colors of marker for the initial color laydown. I also used it to get the glow-y effect and change the background color. Because I can't actually draw backgrounds. That'd be ridiculous

So yeah. Marker and colored pencil, as usual. With some minor digital edits. I had a little white-out mishap...evidently washable marker doesn't stay on dried whiteout...

Belle belongs to Disney, in this context. I believe the original artist's OC's name is Jenny, so she is of course copyright to =InkedHeartSA, as is the original linework. Color is mine?
